The painting depicts a typical Karoo landscape after a thunderstorm broke out. Thick clouds are still hanging in the sky and the sun is just breaking through. The earth is drenched and little streams of water form small mud-rivers next to the road.
 
The painting is created as part of the WAA ( Wilderness Art Association) "CLOUDS" challenge and was voted one of the finalists.
