Cape Agulhas is a coastal village at the southernmost tip of the African mainland. It is known for its special Lighthouse with a view from the tower and a walkway along the seafront to the monument where the two oceans meet at the foot of Africa. 
The lighthouse overlooks the ocean and is surrounded by fynbos. The painting depicts the Lighthouse in the background with the village of Agulhas in front.
